A Night of Melancholic Lullabies
Dec 2020 (remote)
Every evening of December 2020, I performed two melancholic lullabies on my Instagram channel. I brought a mixture of originals and covers to people’s homes. One at 9pm Brussels time, and another at 9pm Atlanta time. And on the night of the Winter Solstice on December 21st 2020, I played a one hour lullaby set.
Many places in the world were in lockdown, due to the Covid Pandemic. My homecountry, Belgium, for one. Through my music, I try to bring solace in these times of hardship. Lullabies are often assumed infantile, but adults too might enjoy a musical ritual that guides them into the transitional and crepuscular space of the night
You can revisit my full Winter Solstice performances here: Dutch or English Version
